How to Control Your TV with Alexa

Amazon alexa does not just work with Echo speakers. This assistant works on other
Amazon devices as well. If you want to know the steps to control your Fire TV,
Sony TV, Roku TV with Amazon Alexa, then follow the instructions given in this
article.
How to Control your Fire TV with Alexa?
· Take out the Fire TV device power adapter.
· Place the USB cable in the HDMI port.
· You will find the ports on the backside of the Fire TV.
· Select Enable Fire TV.
· Select Find Fire TV.
· You will find the option which adjusts the signal, which is named as “Source.”
After that, you need to set it up:
· After the device starts prompting, take out the Alexa Voice Remote.
· Click on the Play option.
· Choose the desired language.
· Choose the Wifi network.
· Type the password of your Wifi network.
· Select the Connect option.
· Choose which account you wish to pair with Alexa.
· You need to decide in case you want to keep the same Wifi password and in
case you wish to enable the parental controls.
· Click on the Choose Apps option.
· Now, you need to decide which application you want to open.
· After making it ready, click on the Play option.
· Wait until this procedure gets completed.
In case you have completed these steps, then you need to connect the Fire TV with
the Alexa. Here are the steps mentioned below to do so:
· Launch the Alexa application on the device.
· Press on the symbol with three lines symbol.
· It is located in the upper left-hand side of the screen.
· Select “Music, Video, and Books.”
· Choose the “Fire TV” option.
· Go through the guidelines given on the screen.
· Click on the Link Devices option.
How to Control your SonyTV with Alexa?· Go to the home screen of your Sony TV.
· Open the “TV Control Setup with Amazon Alexa” application.
· Select Google Account.
· If you don’t have one, then make a new account.
· You need to enter the TV name to find it easily.
· Turn on the Sony Alexa skill.
· Go through the steps to register the TV with the Alexa.
How to Control your Roku TV with Alexa?· Start downloading the “Quick Remote for Alexa and Roku” application on the
smartphone or tablet.
· Sign in to the account registered with the Amazon.
You should check whether the TV and Alexa are paired to the same WiFi network.
Here are the steps mentioned below to do so:
· Launch the Alexa application on the device.
· Click on the application menu list.
· Select the Skills and Games option.
· Find the Quick Remote option.
· You can do this through the text field.
· Click on the Enable to Use option.
